About
Having started out in life after school I became an art teacher. Having realised I could make more money working in other areas, other industries I spent over 35 years doing other things and finding no time for art. So much
so I think I even forgot I was an artist. it was after all these years my wife, who i had known for nearly 20 years, came back from a shopping trip with a cheap canvas, cheap brushes and cheap paints and said... you claim to be an artist... paint something.
so i did. when she saw it she said... you really are an artist. this caused me to get the bug again. i went out and bought better paints, better brushes and some decent canvases.

From my fully equipped studio I can teach most mediums, including acrylic, oils, drawing with charcoal, pastels, pencil etc. plus more.
I can offer lessons to all ages from young to old. depending on age and ability my lessons will be tailored to accommodate the beginner up to the experienced.
when i studied to become an art teacher i tried all the different mediums available. screen printing, photography, pottery, embroidery, drawing, painting. etching, sculpture etc.my finAl art exhibition before qualifying as a teacher included everything from a blue rose embroidered on black velvet up to a customised car.
by visiting my gallery page you will notice i have a very varied taste in art. impressionism, minimalism, surrealism, abstract, portraits, landscapes, seascapes to name some. i can help you learn about many different genres and mediums.
I prefer lessons to be at least 2 hours long. anything less and we will struggle to accomplish anything worthwhile, taking into account preperation time and cleaning up time.
the cost of a 2 hour lesson starts from é30.00 ( discount is available subject to various criteria ). all materials AND Equipment are supplied in this price so there are no hidden costs involved.

Do you have a child .... 6 years old or older? Do they want to have a birthday party? Are you at a loss for ideas what to do with the children for a couple of hours?
I can be the answer to your prayers. I offer an hour or longer of creative entertainment. Everything from finger painting to acrylic pour. Not only will they have fun but they will be learning at the same time. Not to mention taking the pressure from you of what song to sing next or what game to play.
You just sit back and relax whilst I take over for a while.
But it is not just the children. What about you and some friends? Want to try something different? Learn a new skill? Maybe you are looking for something different to do with some friends.
